".....somehow, miraculously, the note emerges from deep within my body and resonates out from my chest.. and I can feel myself relaxing into letting go of needing to look a certain way, needing to sound a certain way, needing to be anybody at all… Every inhibition, every reservation, every trace of shyness was utterly magically melted away...The sound emerged into the silence, and we gently, imperceptibly and ineluctably formed one cohesive unit...And then she started to sing... wordlessly expressing the feelings deep in her heart. Patricia beside me spoke of the prickly sensation of electricity traveling up and down her spine... Judy shared of feeling energy being activated at the back of her head. I was just easing into being utterly hypnotized by what was taking place. I was introduced to an individual I had never really met, this guy who was not at all anxious and troubled, but loose and relaxed, capable of being playful... and it was received by the group with laughter, letting me know that without any artifice... I was a lovable individual."
